I have a 9 year-old Sony Vaio desktop computer. It doesn’t have the memory I need, but I have never had any problem with it in 9 years! It still works just fine. 3 years ago I decided to upgrade to a newer computer, and I bought an HP Pavilion laptop. Tired of not having enough memory and resources in my old Sony desktop, I went ahead and bought the laptop with the best and fastest CPU, RAM, hard drive, etc. then available. $1100+ and 2 years later, I learned the hard way that the laptop was junk. The motherboard died and in order to replace it I had to spend over $400!! To my happy ending… I bought this Sony Vaio laptop for about $500 two months ago, and so far I’m very pleased with it. I learned the lesson: Stick with what you know.

i have always been a sony fan and this one tops the cake i love this laptop. they always say you get what you pay for and its true in this case its well bulit, its solid not cheap and flimsy i have no complaints

i’ve owned this thing for 6 months now. i have had constant problems with the display driver…..sony tech support re-installed it numerous times,and it still freezes up,plus, the “vaio care” program is useless.my 10 year old dell works better than this laptop.never again.
